South Bay Hip Hop Showcase: Planet Asia

August 31st was yet again another awesome showcase. This event was unique in that we had a co-promoter, an act who hadn’t played the bay in years, a slew of out of town artists not to mention it was Labor Day weekend. All the groups were dope, Savvy and Opio of Heiro rolled through, Planet Asia’s whole crew of pseudo hype men and hip hop dressed minions along with some tv camera crews some videographers and some magazines (not sure which, we were all having a good time.) This evenings line -up featured The Bash Bros, Matt Gamin and Tape Mastah Steph along with Flash Thompson, Prolifical, Noahdeekili with Square one of the Fingerbangaz along with Dirt Bag Dan as the host, the man who saved the night from pre madonna chaos. Thanks to Dirt Bag for the help in keeping the rockstars on time to perform. This show was packed with San Jose club goers with no where else to go on Labor Day and found themselves engulfed in the only place they would want to be on a Sunday.
