Kung Fu Vampire CD Release Party with Pacific Art Collective

This Halloween up-rises a new breed of live shows in San Jose, a breed that rings in your ears for two days after, a gene pool stomping ground of art, live music and more art. The release of "Dead Sexy" is the first for KFV in over 5 years and includes guest appearances by Spice 1, Dem Hoodstarz, Z Man (now signed to Def Jam) and local favorites Grunge Toefu, Lucky Lucianni, Doujah Lounge and Roch. "Dead Sexy" is the 5th release by Kung Fu Vampire (if you include LSP albums http://myspace.com/lspmusic) but is the 2nd official release under the Kung Fu Vampire trademark. Pacific Art Collective presents The Rivals 7th Annual Halloween Party and Rock Show including Shadow Beat Ritual, The Rivals and Johnny Manic and The Depressives. Attendees must look sexy, scary or rediculous to even have a chance at all the free prizes going out during the costume contest. It all goes down at The Voodoo Lounge in San Jose www.voodooloungesj.com, October 31st 2008....come ready to Party and come early...this show will be packed.

Killah Priest of Wu Tang Clan?

Killah Priest of Wu Tang Clan?

Killah Priest of Sons of Man and The Wu Family but is not a member of the actual Wu Tang Clan. His performance was not professional and he kept barking at his dj to "skip to the next beat". He made references to physically harming the promoter for not giving him some top shelf vodka bottles. There was only 150 people maybe 200 and he was complaining about the crowd not getting hype over him. I love the Wu Tang and Killah Priest spits some serious fire on record, I respect his artistic integrity but I would not jump for joy if I had tickets to his show. On the other hand the other artists at This South Bay Hip Hop Showcase put it down. Harmonize & Poeticali Disturbed stole the show in my eyes. Make sure you come check out every Showcase, you never know who might pop up.

The Jacka w/ Jiggsaw, 2 Left Feet, CRAM & more…

On May 25th 2008 a monumental event in Downtown San Jose occurred, Voodoo Lounge could not even cater to and was understaffed for how huge of a show this was. Over 650 people showed up to see the Jacka perform. There were no fights nor were there any shove matches, plenty of fine women and the he air was thick with Chronic smoke and hip hop folk. For all you who weren't in attendance you missed a crazy show, Gangsta Rap, packed house, downtown San Jose, you get the picture. Come out every last Sunday to the Voodoo Lounge in San Jose on 2nd Street and experience for yourself.
